I can understand the feelings you've written down here -- I've been going through them myself with my more recent understanding of what otherhearted means for me specifically, being multiple versions of the same character, etcetera. It's frustrating and a bit draining, in a way that I don't think that that initial questioning is? Because the initial questioning comes with this excitement -- "you've finally found some labels that fit your experiences! You're not alone!!" But this questioning, there's not that, it just feels like you're digging only to keep hitting stone.
The exercise I am going to do (that you're totally free to steal the idea from me) is to simply spend a day writing what that particular thing means to me; with minimal to no usage of labels, terms, etcetera. Just pure feeling and experience. I did this with my soulbond experiences (you know, before I called them soulbonds) and have kept doing it with other aspects of that, and it's worked out relatively well. It stops a lot of that confusion because I'm not trying to compare anything, I'm just getting it out.
